A quaint two bedroom holiday cottage in the Pays de la Loire region, bordering Normandy and Brittany.

Situated in a rural position in the Pays de la Loire region, on the border of Normandy and Brittany, Numero Huit is a well equipped cottage providing the perfect getaway.

It is accessible from the main ferry ports of St Malo, Caen and Cherbourg. The closest airport is Rennes (1 hr 30).

Numero Huit

Relax at Numero Huit with its countryside views and modern amenities. Enjoy the private south facing garden with sun loungers and patio furniture for the warm, summer days, or snuggle indoors in front of the fabulous wood burner during the cooler months.

Open plan lounge/diner with log burner, kitchen, shower room, double bedroom, spare room with sofa bed, south facing garden (with firepit) and parking.

Enjoy the convenience of high speed wifi, Smart TV and Firestick, and even an Alexa for a seamless stay in the French countryside. There is also a DVD player with a selection of DVDs, plus board games (including French monopoly) and packs of cards.

Our well equipped kitchen features a large fridge/freezer with water dispenser, multi fuel cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

The cottage sleeps 3 comfortably. The double bedroom has a large window with views over the lane and countryside. The spare room has a sofa bed with drawer space. Bedding with quality cotton bed linen and fluffy towels are provided.

Home from Home

Numero Huit was our main home from 2020 until early 2024. During those 4 years we fell in love the house and the surrounding area.

The village of Fougerolles du Plessis is a mile away, and has an award winning boulangerie, tabac/bar, restaurant, pharmacy (English speaking), supermarket and petrol station. There is also a fabulous Salon de The serving homemade cakes, lunches and coffee in the neighbouring village of Landivy.

George, the very friendly tabby cat is a regular visitor at Numero Huit. He is now living in sublime comfort opposite, but has history at the cottage. He loves to come and say hello and we wouldn't want him frightened or shooed away. Therefore, Numero Huit is only suitable for people who are comfortable with a friendly cat coming to say hello. (He's called George because we found him abandoned in the bush at Numero Huit).

Picturesque Surroundings

The typically french village of Fougerolles du Plessis is on the the doorstep but there are also many lovely places to explore all within a one hour drive, including magical Mont St Michel, the white sandy beach of Carolles, the historic medieval city of Dinan and the gorgeous spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne.
